THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT

The 2gether Cluster can provide therapeutic support to children and young people. Within the emotional wellbeing team, we offer the following services:

  • Short term 1:1 therapy for children and young people, usually 6-8 sessions.

  • Short term 1:1 emotional wellbeing sessions for children and young people.
  • Family emotional wellbeing sessions.

  • Liaison, training and consultations for staff working within the cluster.
  • Emotional wellbeing group sessions for around 6-12 children or young people, for 6-12 weeks.

EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

Our emotional wellbeing team is made up of qualified and experienced counsellors and practitioners who provide a professional, confidential service with ethics and safeguarding at its heart. All members of our team access regular confidential supervision.

We work closely with staff and colleagues within the 2gether Cluster schools and support services to promote the emotional and psychological wellbeing of children, young people and families.

Some of the reasons people may access therapy include:

  • Bereavement or loss

  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Abuse
  • Trauma
  • Difficulties eating
  • Self-harming behaviours

Assessments are completed by our emotional wellbeing team. A variety of therapeutic approaches are adopted by the team. All support is tailored to the needs and age of the client.

Examples of therapeutic techniques that may be used include play, art, story telling/making, drama and talking.
